I never did figure out exactly what he was referring to, but it may have been Motronic 2.7 on the early F355s vs Motronic 5.2 on the late ones.

Ok, here is my first Ferrari!
Model: F355 GTB 3 Pedal
Year: 1995
Country: USA-Michigan
Steering: LHD
Chassis number: 101483
Ferrari Colour: Giallo Modena-yellow
Interior Colour:Nero-black

Has had Valve guides done with complete new valves and head rebuild
Has had exhaust dealt with Hi-Flow cats and Tubi Exhaust
Has had 3 Major belt services in last 8 years
Has Carbon Fiber sport seats

Very pretty, and with the rare CF racing seats. Yellow is my favorite Ferrari color.

For me the interior too dated. And I had some small repairs a few months after I got her. Not big deal but I live 300 miles from the closest dealer or independent Ferrari mechanic.

So transport and repair costs added up so wanted something newer

Why my next F car will hopefully a F430 or newer

Yeah,
I'll have the same problem-no close dealer or service, but at least the guy I'll use has pickup and delivery if needed, but I also have a trailer and have a Classic Car Biz, not that we are experienced in Ferrari, mostly classics and muscle cars, but probably can fix most small stuff and routine maintenance, but will need help for the major stuff. Good luck with a newer one, but what you save in maintenance costs, you might lose in depreciation, either way Ferraris are expensive, but most fun things in life are.

My F355 Spider and first Ferrari. I've had it less than 2 weeks.
