Hi all,

I am very happy to say that I am in the proces of finally realizing my dream by buying a Ferrari F355 GTB :D . I was wondering what accessories I should expect to be delivered with the car? Any suitcases or whatsover? Apart from that I would like the car to get an expection by an expert before I buy it. Does anyone know a good address in the Netherlands?

I still believe the suitcases where optional, so not sure if it should be there with the 355 you are looking at. For details on dealers see my private email to you. I think a great book on the differences in models is Keith Bluemel's 'Original V8'

There are no accessories with the car, unless the previous owner had ordered it. I don't think leather suitcases are something that a 355 owner would order because they're very expensive. I know of friends who ordered leather suitcases with their 456, 550 and 575M but none so far that ordered them with their 360.

If it is possible get the 355 model with Fiorano package. This has different suspension, different steering ratio, different rims, etc. These options have to be ordered when the buyer specced his car. They cannot be retrofitted. So a 355 with Fiorano package is rare and certainly very desirable.

The best thing for you to do is to ask the owner to take the car to the Ferrari dealer and have them do a written report on the car. You may have to pay a bit but if you're spending the money, you might as well do it right.

There should be a toolkit in a leather case in the front. On the 348 it contains various spanners, screwdrivers etc and also a can of stuff to inflate a flat tyre.

My car also came with an inspection torch which plugs into the cigar lighter and a handheld mag torch. I don't know if these came as standard with the 355 but they are invariably missing when buying a second hand car.

Fitted suitcases were a very expensive option that very few people opted for, after all not many people would take a Ferrari on a trip where they would be leaving it parked outside a hotel overnight.

You can buy the cases from various sites, if you want them I can dig out some links for you.

Justyn.
