Thanks for posting those pics! I have seen them before. Sometime I'll have to tell you about when I was on a rig that broke loose from its moorings during a typhoon off the coast of Vietnam. And we were low on fuel!

Nope, the weather was too rough for helicopters. And all our chopper pilots were Brits who were used to flying in the North Sea. If those guys say its too bad to fly, its bad.

I have been to Australia, Western Australia to be exact. We drilled a well for WAPET (Western Australia Petroleum) off the coast of Barrow Island. I was the "Offshore Safety Advisor" and rotated between the rig and the office in Perth.
