my e-brake has never really worked all that well, now it is time do something about it. it does not seem to hold the car real well. i can really torque the handle but it well still barely hold the car. is that a matter of a cable needing to be adjusted or a rear brake issue? what are some things to look at and try? thanx in advance. joe

Joe,
It needs adjusting. Lift the back of the car up and give the handle 2 clicks. Take up on the adjuster until you can't turn the rear wheels by hand.

P.S. The adjuster is not easy to adjust! Expect to get greasy. You can see the adjuster from the top, but you can't get to it.

Ah, let's see, one would take a flashlight and look directly beneath the coolant expansion tank. It is on the passenger side underneath the exhaust manifold.
