Can anyone clear this up for me here exactly....

I'm curious about the San Marino track.

The race is in the Republic of San Marino...
The track Circuit Enzo e Dino Ferrari, is not located in the capital city, San Marino, but actually the city Imola? Is this correct??
And if so, is Imola near the capital?

Italy wanted 2 races, so they Republic of San Marino got the rights to the race from the FOA (Bernie) and since San Marino is so small and has no F1 track, they farm out the race to Imola in Italy.

Germany too have similar arrangement. They have 2 races, one is the German GP in Hockenheim while the other is the European GP in Nurburgring.
