Hi, does anyone know if the original 355 wheels can be chrome plated?

Has anyone done this before?

I like Bling...But chrome is very touchy to make. Chrome wheels only look good on a full black car, tinted windows and all. You should have only 4 things chrome, front and rear Cavalino, chrome model number and wheels. no decals on the front fenders.

The best place to verify is a chrome shop, if your looking for one and cant find one, ask a Harley guy, they all have a shop they send parts to be chromed. My previous neighbor was a Harley freak and had almost everything done in chrome. Was nice but a pain to keep clean.

The problem with chrome is weight, might have heavier weights to balance the wheels, sometimes it flakes off or bubbles. To me its not worth the hassle, there are hundreds of companies that make chrome rims. Find out your model specs and buy them, they come with a warrantee and they almost all come with center caps for the Ferrari Logo and probably cheaper. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to wheels. Personally, I like a thin 5 spoke chrome wheels.

Have them polished out.. it will look much better than chrome and wont chip or peel over time.

I guess you've got a concensus here. The chrome is great on a Camaro, doesn't really work on a Ferrari.
