I just wanted to become a member of CHP 11-99 Foundation and apparently in order for your application to be considered a current member must refer you. Any of you guys in California would mind letting me use your name and number to become a member (required for the application)? Greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Go to website: http://www.chp1199.org! I am sure you would get more info than I can provide.

I understand here in California the CHP officers get a bit relaxed when they see you as a member.

May not, but worth the try! As I said I have heard some stories! I usually run into members in club events! I didn't know they require you to be referred otherwise I would have asked around today for sure at the Ferrari of San Francisco open house! By the way, a great show with lots of technical info on Enzo and Stradale!

Sorry the cars they had on display belonged to private owner! I didn't think about bringing back serial numbers!

Contact the Ferrari Owners Club. They will set you up. The cost is $1,500. For that, you receive a license plate frame, which says 11-99 Member, a registration cardholder, and a small decal.

There is no guarantee it will help but I wish I had it last weekend when I received a ticket from the CHP.

To be honest I don't know how many participated. But the front end of the garage area was filled with people and the stars of the show were a red Stradale with the stripes (first I had seen) and a red Enzo! Good informative and very interactive with the Ferrari product specialist. John, I think he is the shop foreman, he had a laptop hooked up to the Enzo and was doing all kinds of tricks with the car (start the engine, lower the suspension, move the front and rear flaps/spoilers, turn lights on/off, honk the horn…) you get an idea. Everything in that car is computer controlled and all hooked up in a CAN Common Area Network (I think that’s what it is). A two-wire network to avoid large wiring harness to and from the switches to the control unit. They had a very good show, it was open to all FCA members!

Cheers

Ah wow! That must have been cool! 8) Would've loved to have been there. I guess I need to see if I can join the FCA...
