dear all.

am new as a ferrari owner. just bought a very gud 97'355, only 20k kms from a friend.

question is, cambelt change was done in 2002 at 13k kms. It is now at 20k kms. It has been more than 3 years since the change... DO i need to change it even only covered 7k kms since?

freind has too many cars so hardly drives it.. Creep has 430 now!

thanks for any feedback.

3 years is a recommended time interval. Many people go 5 years as long as the mileage is less than 30k miles. I'll be doing my 308 belts in the spring.

There is a huge amount of debate on if the belts really need to be changed every 3-5 years. Fact is that you will not run into problems if you stick to the factory's schedule. A broken belt equals bent valves and $$$$$$ to fix. The only models that I have heard of instances of belts breaking are 355s (several) and 348s.
