I've owned a 78 512BB (blue chiaro over black) for the past 8 or 9 years. In that time, I've watched the value steadily decline as has the usage. I never bought it as an investment but have been disappointed with the way the value has declined for what I believe is one of the most striking Ferrari ever made. Particularly when you consider how few they made ( 101 rhd ?). Seeing the few examples on the market in the UK range from around £35k seems a ludricrously low price. Although I hardly ever use it, I know I will miss it if I sell it.
If I decide to keep it, I will need to get the cambelts done this year. My only other gripe with the car is some split stitching on the dashboard from shrinkage and the thread perishing. Does anyone know where I can get this fixed ( in the North of England). I can't see a way of doing it properly without taking the dash out but perhaps one of you has encountered a similar problem. I'd appreciate any advise that any of you can offer.
