Ad says it is an 1981. Pictures indicate that it is an original carb 308 (75-79). I would ask plenty of questions.
My thoughts exactly, as well, there are two large holes in the front spoiler...never seen a 308 with that kind of spoiler, none with holes for lights anyways.....

Thanks.
Just for info.
I haven’t got any copies of the papers (Fahrzeugsbrief) yet that tells me when the car was built, but “Erstzulassung” is the first registrations date of the car, not to be confused with the year the car was built “Baujahr”.
We’ll see when the copies arrives in the mail.

Just looking at the pictures I'd say it is a '77 to '79 euro spec with a dry sump. The front spoiler is custom and it is not the original paint job. Done nice though. Not a bad looking car. So if they are mistaken then they don't know that the '79 and earlier are actually worth more than the '81. Still, the price seems a little high to me. It may be a good price for a '79 in Europe though. There is nothing in the pictures that would stop me from considering the car, but yeah, ask a bunch of questions (like, "If it is an '81 then why does it have carbs?") and get a PPI.

Hi, I agree with Pete, it is a dry sump 77/79, but the price is not very high, let's see under this painting... I have the same car (except the spoiler) and I pay much more in France to get it for not such condition, black is pretty rare for people who wants it. Is it his original color ? Lot of 308 carb have been sold during 1980 even if factory changed to "i", and according to 308 register, even few in 1981. The number 33755 (black color) have been sold in belgium in 1981, is it this car ? better to go and see it....

Hello again.
I hope I’ll get the copy of the ”Fahrzeugsbrief” soon.
The add says the car is repainted in original color and it is a Swiss car.
I’ll keep you posted.

Btw. What is PPI?

considering what I saw, I'd say Boxer is a very very very careful owner!

I'd at least take a look at his car, if I were you

Hello again.
You are probably right about Boxers car.
I’m sure it’s worth having a look at his car considering he decided to sell it.
But only thing coming out of that would probably be me drooling the rest of the year.
Not just having been there seeing his 308, those other cars would also make my day. No, YEAR.
Just look at them. SPOTLESS! Those cars are absolutely gorgeous.
That probably makes the price tag a bit to large for me. Am I right?
It wouldn’t be possible for me to raise that money at this point.
(I’m being followed by bad luck, I’ll share the stories with you some other day. Pretty amusing)
I have to wait a while.
Although it would be interesting to know how much his (Your) car would cost.

By the way, I haven’t got any copies of the “Black edition” Ferrari yet.
I’ll have to call the owner back. He did try to reach me by phone.

Hello again.
Finaly got the numbers from the ”Black edition”.

F 106 AB 304 89

Boxer, do You have the time to check these numbers and se when the car was built and if possible any other information that could be of significance.
A regular “carfax” is not possible for this short number, am I right?
Believe it has to be a 17 digit VIN.

According to the pictures the owner sent me, everything seems to be in a rather good condition.
Engine bay looks clean and tidy, seats and everything inside looks great.

The only information I have on hand for SN 30489 is:

308 GTB
1981
Black Exterior/Black Interior
LHD
Euro model
Was registered in Switzerland at some point.

Thanks a lot.
That it is a Swiss car Euro model I already knew, but 1981 sounds strange considering that it has a carb engine.
I’ll inform you all about this as soon as I have spoken to the owner.
