So the 308 was making an odd noise from the engine. With 2 years having just passed since the belts being changed, I took the car past my mechanic who said to rather do the major service immediately.

While we are at it though, the following is also being done:

Taking off the entire suspension, powder coating the arms, replacing every bush in the system (from the bush set I had already)
Overhauling the shock absorbers
Changing all the steering bushes
Overhauling the rear brake calipers and handbrake

It is certainly not going to be a cheap exercise but I really think it will trasnform the car's handling.

I am waiting for some parts from Superformance but I will go past to take ome pics while the suspension is off an the car is on the lift.

Regards

Mike

A worthwhile project as your 308 GTSi is so together and runs well. Anything that both enhances the drive and doubles up as preventative maintenance is a good thing. Please keep us posted.

My last items needed arived from Superformance today so I went to see my baby at the workshop.

The rear suspension bushes have been changed and the arms powder coated - looking unbelievable. The pic is grainy as it was taken with my phone.

Should be ready in about a week - can't wait
