Just wondering which Ferrari you think has the most timeless looks? That will just never go out of style.

In my own opinion, I believe that the F355 is a car that its look will be timeless. Other cars I feel that will have looks that will keep people's eyes forever are the Testarossa and the F40.

I'm with Archie, the 308 is the most instantly recognizable Ferrari.

I would actually have to join that group the 308 and the 238 are definitely the most recognizable Ferraris next to probably the Testarossa. IMO

I feel the Testarossa has got to be the most timeless, years ago I saw a topless black one done by strauman (sp) and it was unreal, and theres a red one on E-bay with the speedline wheels and thin wall tires that makes the Rossa look even more awesome!!!! Otter:cool:

I would agree that the Testarossa is probably the 2nd most instantly recognizable Ferrari with a timeless design.

The 360 is probably the 3rd? I believe this due to it appearing on TV and in the movies.

Dear Comrades,

In my opinion the older Ferrari's are far superior. The 308/328 are still absolutely sublime and indeed just as others have said 'instantly recognisable as a Ferrari.' I also prefer the 348 to the 355 (the side strakes make it appear unique).

The F-40 is a fabulous creature and the 512TR more than its equal. However, the 550 is also a splendid machine but not so instantly recognisable as a Ferrari to the none aficionado.

With kind regards,

Vulcan

Just because something gets recognised for me doesn't mean t answers the original question: "Best Ferrari Looks?". :)

To me, it's the 250 GTO, followed by the 250GT Lusso. But the 308 is beautiful as well, and the Boxer, the F40, the 288 GTO, the 246S, the '59 Testarossa, the '60 TR, the 250P, 250LM, the 512M (1970 version), the 330GTS, the 330GTC, the F430, the 550, the 246GTS, the Nembo Spyder, the F355, the 250 GT California Spyder, the 250 SWB, 275 GTB, 330P3/P4, ....

Sorry, what was the question? I was day dreaming there.

I still can't believe how many times Ferrari got it right!

Onno,
The original question was also which Ferrari has the most timeless looks. I've had many people who thought my car was brand new. They are shocked when I tell them it is almost 30 years old. If you saw the pictures of Archie's old 328, you could easily convince someone who didn't know about Ferraris that it was a 2008 model. The design is timeless. It looks as modern today as it did in 1976.

The other cars you mentioned, although beautiful, have dated designs. The 250 GTO is an awesome looking car, but even a non-Ferrari person can tell the design is from the 60's.

I do think however we all agree on one point that you hit the nail on the head with: It is amazing how many times Ferrari got it right. I guess that is why they have such a strong following of car geeks like us. :)

I think the most noticeable Ferraris with the timeless looks that could potentially make people believe they are new cars would be: 308, 328, 355, 512TR. Thats my opinion, and I believe I did kind of word the question funny.

IMHO, the F40 wins for timelessness. The 308 and 250 GTO are beautiful cars but you can guess the production era by the design. To the average man on the street, the F40 looks like it could have rolled out of the factory today.

Dear Comrade Boxer,

Yes, definitely the F-40 closely followed by the 348.

Angelis, will you be attending the Dick Lovatt Grand Prix extravaganza on Sunday?

With kind regards,

Vulcan
