I am sure to you it is up there. Not seen a Cobalt before but it looks good.

Over in California in just over a weeks time. We have a Charger or Full size car with Dollar. I always look forward to seeing what we end up with.

Dear Comrade Chrishawk,

The car looks superb. However, I have no knowledge of this model. For example what engine does it have - is it manual transmission or automatic and what sort of turbo's does it have? So can we have a complete run down on what this car is: Power output and that sort of thing?

With kind regards,

Vulcan (EDIT: I have reviewed the images of your car and can see that it is a manual)

Nice car Chris! :)

Best car in the World for sure is the one that gets you where you need to go!

Never seen a Chevy Cobalt in the flesh - for some reason was thinking it was blue?

Dear Vulcan,

The 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LT isn't turbo charged. I appologize I was just making a joke. The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS/TC is turbocharged though. My model is only a 2.2L Ecotec 4 cylinder that puts out 148 hp and 155 lb*ft torque. I do have to admit for what it costs this car isn't bad. It has summer tires (bad in Michigan weather) has a sports suspension, heated leather interior, 6 speaker pioneer sound system with subwoofer. It does indeed have a 5 speed manual transmission (wouldn't have it any other way:D). This car is definitely the right choice for my commute though, currently I am getting 29.6 mpg right now in city. The car does have some flaws though, the computer has a tendency to reset every once in a while, I have 8,500 miles on it:eek: The alignment was off with 500 miles on it, and just little things. They don't bother me much because my lease goes to 49,900 miles I believe. I have about 2.5 years left on the lease, and I don't have to pay for the problems with the car:D

Unfortunately it isn't up there on my list, the "best car in the world" was sarcasm:) . I was looking at a 2007 Mini Cooper and a VW Rabbit to lease, but due to my uncle having worked at GM I got a relatively large discount.

It does come in a brilliant shade of blue, but I am guessing you are referring to the element Cobalt (Co) in that case yes it should be blue:)

Chris, if you have family ties to GM then why not a Vette? I am happy with mine and if you supercharge it (like mine) watch out!

Cobalt...the Vette's little brother, see at least it's in the family.

Oh I would've loved to lease a vette:) It was $650 a month I think, if I didn't go to the college I am I could afford to lease one:D But then again we must make sacrifices:( I did try to get the Cobalt SS though but the lease was a bit to much.

$650 a month for a Vette??

if it costed that much in Brazil I'd have 7 on the garage - one for each day of the week! hehehehehehe

don't even ask me how much it costs here, it's over 250K US$

prices for a new F430 (the cheapest model that you can buy new) start at something around 850K US$

a used 348 or F355 from early years (1995/96) goes for something around 150K US$

that's why I tell you, Vettes and Porsches are true exotic cars here in Brazil, even used models are very VERY expensive

and keep in mind that the average income in Brazil is much lower than in the US or Europe, what makes those sky-rocket prices even more inaccessible for the average guy

Well if my calculations are correct my Cobalt would be valued at around $85k in Brazil. Hey Stile, you can buy my Cobalt and I'll buy an F355....it sounds fair.....well at least it does to me:D
