I have owned my 355 F1 gts for about 4 months now. I came back from lunch to find my windscreen smashed in!!! And a white shiny golf ball on the floor next to it! Gutted is not the word :(

I was parked across the road from a golf course and I all the years I have lived here I have never known a ball to stray that way! Still at least the club are covered I was happy to learn, how much you recon that will cost to replace??

Just thought you lot might want to see it as its quite funny don't you think? Imagen what the golfer thought when he looked over the bank to find his ball and saw what he had done??!!

Good luck with replacing the screen.

Of all the cars in that carpark, and the ball had to find the Ferrari. I bet the golfer who took the shot is now telling his friends about how he put a ball through a Ferrari's windscreen.
Does your insurance give you windscreen cover? The standard excess in the UK for a replacement windscreen is £60 and it won't effect your no claims bonus.
Think yourself lucky it was the windscreen and not your roof or bonnet. Your insurance excess would be higher for any other damage.

The person that hit the ball has owned up but has not tried to contact me yet, probably too scared to!

I am just glad the golf club has explained to me that I am covered by their insurance and can get it booked in tomorrow to be replaced! That has made me feel a bit better :)

Good lessen learned here fellas...never park your ferrari right next to golf courses. I guess those g-balls have a tendency to lean towards those italian exotics.

Good to hear that the golf course is owning up.

Only drive the family car to the golf course, haha. Besides, who wants to try stuffing a couple of golf bags in a Ferrari?

As a Ferrari owner I can think of far more enjoyable ways of using up my free time rather than playing golf.
Well good for you Archie. Personally, I can think of much worse things to do with my free time, also as a Ferrari owner. I've taken the 550 and my clubs to Southern Europe and played golf in the Alps and Tuscany. It was lovely breathing in the mountain air and enjoying the scenery whilst playing a sport.

Why do people so often feel the need to be disdainful about golf? It irritates me. Live and let live man.

oooh look....a nerve. And its hanging right out there for me to touch. :stickpoke

I personally am a One handicapper (Meaning I park in a Handicap space) and consistentlly shoot par (meaning I come back with the same amout of balls I left with...sometimes more...depends on how much time I spend in the woods looking for mine) One day, while looking for my ball, I saw a big bad wolf, dressed like my grandmother. He asked if I'd seen a little girl, dressed in red, go by.

Onno, forgive me, I was referring to my own lack of enjoyment playing golf, and I can think of far better things to do in my free time. My post never said anything disrespectful to those who like playing it, if I'd really wanted to slag off golf or golfers I would have done. If you enjoy it, then good luck to you. BTW, I do live and let live, I don't have a problem with golfers, most of my friends and family play it regularly, it just isn't a sport that I enjoy.
