My 360 Modena has a pair of aftermarket Scuderia shields fitted above the front wheel arches. They do look like they were professionally done but seem a bit out of place on the Nart Blue bodywork. They are glued on and could be pulled back off. I am tempted to remove them but fear it would damage the paint or leave glue residue marks where they are fitted.

Can they be removed and if so what is the best way to do it ?

Heat. Very carefully use a heat gun directly on the shield to soften the adhesive. (Your wife's hair dryer will be ok it will just take a little longer). Just heat it up a little bit (about 140°) and with a plastic scraper carefully pry the shield off. If it won't come add a little more heat to the shield. Try to heat just the shield and not the paint. After the shield is off you can remove the adhesive with a liquid adhesive remover (Goo Gone, etc). Then the whole fender will need polishing and waxing.

You should not have any damage to the paint or any glue residue when finished. You may still see an outline of where the shield was due to UV light fading the paint on the fender and not underneath the shield. Blue isn't affected by UV as much as red so it will probably be OK.
