Does not my engine fire twice as often as a Porsche at 1,000 rpm?

Ha...ha...a tricky question to say the least. Are both engines supposedly turning at 1000 rpms? If so then your 12 cylinder would have twice as many spark plugs fire as a Porsche 6 cylinder. But the rate of ignition for each cylinder of each engine would be the same.

Yes, 12 cylinders is much smoother than 4 or 6. Back in the '30s Cadillac had a V-16 engine. Smooth.
