Hi Dirk,

Yes, that is yours truly in the photo. I received some interesting looks from people driving by the house...

Believe it or not, I absolutely love the Mondial. It is so much fun to drive. The carburetors on the GTB were special, though. They had such a wonderful sound. The Mondial is very spoiling. It is easy to start, has fantastic visibility and the cab forward design makes cornering very unique. The Mondial is almost too user friendly! Still, I still think the 308 is the classic Ferrari and most recognizable design.

Thank you as always for asking.

I once had the opportunity to catch a ride in a 512BB. The owner also had owned a 308 GTB and a Mondial and he confirmed your comment. According to him, the Mondial was a very underrated car! Since he has his racing license and drives with some Sauber sportscars as well occassionally, I think he would now ;-) He actually said to me that the Mondial was the better car in almost every respect when you put it next to a 308 GTB.

Nice car, man...love to see those pics. Unfortunately I ' only' drive a Lancia...but who knows...in the future??? :D The Mondial, 308, 308GT4 or a 400 (412) are my favorite, affortable, Ferrari's. It must be fantastic to own one of those...

Niels,

Great post; it's fantastic to hear other's opinions whether they differ or are similar to my own. The Mondial is so user-friendly that it almost seems to much so to be a Ferrari! Still the sound, handling and cab forward design all seem to dispel the myth!

Waldo,

Thank you for the nice comments. Believe me, I am living proof that Ferrari ownership is not out of anyone's reach. Everyone should at least drive one once in their lifetime!

Dane,
Great to hear from you. Great pics! Love the mailbox. Now that summer is here I hope to hear some stories of your Ferrari adventures. My car is going great with the new ignition. Just need some time at home to drive it.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the post. How often have you been away and for how long? I have been having just a great time with the Mondial. What a fun car to drive; really do like the cab-forward design. It really feels like a go-cart!

I hope to hear some stories from you as well. Even the ones where your wife took it shopping... 8)

Forza,
