Hello Terry,
it is passed time form this summer and perhaps you know, however i want to explain how was the installation on the 612 of my finland client, Samy a very good guy.

I was clear with him, in that sense, i explained that i never had install on the 612 my system, i had not OE CAT dimensions and for that we agreed that i would supplied headers + my CATs annd his shop would do the two extension pipes.

His shop discovered clashes during installation, one pipe of the left header clashed with steering wheel shaft and the right CAT clashed with the chassis, i proposed him to give back me all the parts (and i give him his money) or in alternative keep headers, give back me the CATs and do new CATs and header modify by his shop.
He have choose the second way, and it was very kindly to ask me if wanted to make scanning of the engine compartment, i told yes.
He contacted a company near him tha tdo this thing and they did the scanning (1000 eur) , now i have engine compartment model of the 612, in this cad model i uploaded my exhaust model and i discovered exaclt ythe same clashes tha the had.
At the hend he is happy of the sound, i think he posted video on FCat, he sent me a video but now i not found ....

Yesterday my dealer called me, he have a 612 for this week for some works, friday we will go with the3D scanner for make cad model of the mufflers and of the connections between CAT and pipes, in order to have the supports dimension, those supports are like the 599..
After that i will have all the cad models for the 612.

Fabio- Sounds like all the problems have been solved with enough good data. Sounds like you got pretty close the first time, with minor fit issues. The CAD files confirming what the fit check demonstrated is a good sign.

Yes Terry,
the work finished positive, and Sami have posted few videos on Fchat, perhaps you watched ... his nik i think is FIN612.
He was too happy of the sound ....
Friday we did the scanning of the 612 from my dealer, the back muffler, the big cats and centre pipes and part of the front chassis in order to merge the model from Finland to this model for have a complete model.
This 612 was very nice, it was a car used from the Factory until 2013, have a special leather and a special paint.

Hello friends,

today i received the 3D files of the 612 that it was scanned two Friday ago, the bottom side and a right back edge with muffler, this it was one of the lasts 612 with HGTE package and mufflers whit bypass, very nice car.

Now i can merge the CAD model of engine compartment upper side, did on the 612 of FIN612, whit that models and obtain total model that permit me to update the 6-1 headers manifolds for the 612 and make new cat bypass pipes and back mufflers with bypass can be installed on all 612.
For the 612 that have not the bypass as OE i will use electric bypass in order to make easy the installation of the bypass control unit, did inside to my company by my electronic specialist (my brother) and for this reason can be ajusted for each client.

Hello at all,

works are in progress, today i merged three CAD models in only one model, the engine compartment did in Finland from my client, the under chassis did from my dealer two weeks ago and the engine model made by myself on 2014 when i started the project for the 575.

Within few weeks i will do the design of the exhaust parts for this car.

Fabio,

Very beautiful. Is there appreciable power gain with these beauties ? The sound is amazing.

Thanks,
Shiv
Hello Shiv,

Thanks to you ...

We did not test on the 612, but on the 575 that have approx same engine, also if with 515 HP theoretical instead of 540, the gain at wheel if 56 HP as per the result obtained by Jared Zimmerman in this show after install my full exhaust system:

Kindly

Hello Friends,
i solved the clash that was between pipes of cylinders 10 & 11 to the steering shaft of the 612, i adjusted the design of those two pipes in order to have around 8 mm of clearance to the shaft.
At tthe moment i'm on the adjusting of the design of the two CAT in order to remove the clash that as on the right side to the chassis.
As soon i willcomplete all will post pictures of the complete design.

Best at all

Fabio

612 equipment upgrades

Hello friends,

After drawd few month ago on my 3D CAD, last week i done the modification on the equipment of the 550-575 in order to make also the primary exhaust of the 612 Scaglietti.
The changes it interested the jigs of the welding of the pipes 10 & 11, the positoning of the outer pipes of the CATs and a new steel part for the extension pipes from my CATs to the interface with the centre pipes of the 612.

Following some pictures of the modified jigs, of the pipes and of the added steel part.
