Hello Terry and Fabio,

I only live in Canada during the summer (May to September), so cold weather is not an issue and I drive my Buick Riviera when it rains. Of course, sometimes I'll get caught in an unexpected rain shower, but rarely. Driving to the Rocky Mountains is also on my to do list (8 hours return trip) and the weather is always a gamble in the mountains. 95% of the time, I'm looking at warm summer driving in the city.

I'll do some shopping with your advice and get back to you with a few choices.

Regards,

Hello Gianni,
personally I think for the your use is better to restrict the choice to following tires:
Michelin PSS
BridgestoneS001 (NOT available for 18"of 550/575)
Bridgestone RE050A K spec.(K=Ferrari spec.) i had on my old 550 and i was satisfied
Pirelli Pzero Rosso
On my old CLK 240 i had PS2 and i replaced with RE050A and for my taste B was more better than M, i wrote "for my taste" because B have wall more rigid and this done in the steering wheel more feeling, the rubber compound was better, more grip in all conditions....
The negative thing was a little reduction of the confort due to the hard wall, but in complex i liked more the B.
On my old 550 i had B S02 and when i replaced they was not available, replaced by RE050A, both tires was nice for me, S02 little bit more sportive.
On 575 i have 19" RE050A, and this last tires have more grip than their sisters 18" that i had on 550 ... Unfortunately they did oval and i will replace it early ....
I think, as advised by Terry, MPSS are the best for a medium use, personally i wouldprefere B for the rigid wall and his steering feeling, for this reason if Pzero corsa not will be available i would to be consider aleo BS001 ...
but probably my are a ... psicological wall .... ahaha

Simon- Nice line-up, and only two the same color. Get me the details on the 575Ms (serial number/VIN, assembly number, shifter type, FHP or HGTC) and I will add them to the list. No owner info tracked.

Steve- Looks like you have your retirement account on 8 wheels. Plus you get to drive them, too.

I keep thinking that two are excessive, but I can't make up my mind which one to sell, as the grey one was my first V12 and I have had it for 7 years 6.3k miles and the rosso scuderia one is apparently only one of 2 in that colour and I have had that for 3 years with 7.2k miles..hmmmmm
My wife wants a California ie something that we can use a bit more often....which does make sense..but.....!!!!!!!

Steve- Just buy the California outright. Not that expensive compared to a Superamerica and those continue to appreciate. Good used Californias are affordable right now. So are FFs, but the tops do not come down.
