As you can see, someone decided the mirrors were too much and just destroyed them...

Any clue on how much time it takes to get the mirrors back ?

Hi,

Geneva, not paris (the places looks similar, "Hausmann" style).
Yeah, a guy ripped them off, probably by foot.
It happens from time to time here....
I had to replace the front grille on the maserati spyder, the roof (very expensive...), and got the porsches' roof destroyed as well, with some tires destroyed, paint scratched, rear wing stolen (???) etc....

So you can understand i became "zen"

I love the car, it's just too gorgeous. Once repaired, i'll post some better pics !

that's horrible. i still can't believe that people would do stuff like that just while they are walking by.
if the insurance company's over there are as bad as they are here, then i'm surpised that you still get an insurrance or that they haven't forced you to buy/rent a garagespace

it's sometimes hard to imagine how dumb people can be.
Usually they're pretty correct, but i fear they might become upset by too many cases...
So nobody knows how long it takes to get the mirrors back ?

Sad to see that Geneva is getting that way, can't wait to see such behaviours migrate elsewhere in the country. I am used to leaving my cars anywhere, even the GTS without the roof, might have to change my habits.
No clue how long the leadtime for mirrors will be, only a Ferrari agent will be able to tell you that. Except in summer time, leadtime for parts is pretty reasonable (but price is going to be absurd). Must be pretty problematic to drive without side mirrors !

it will mostly depend on how fast your insurrance company works & aproves it.
i don't think that getting the mirros and having them replaced should take that lone

Yeah ze_shark, as you say, it's a shame seeing Switzerland is following the footsteps of other countries in Europe.
I don't think it's yet a real habit, but you find more and more guys frustrated enough to act like that.
Driving around is strange, but parking the car is a real mess without the mirrors....
I will see with the dealer on monday for leadtime....anyway the car needed something fixed (biellettes de stabilisateur or rotules de direction, no english for that), so it's a good timing.
They're really cool, i think they'll do their best to help !

Do you also have that clonk noise when steering at crawling speeds ?
I was told that Ferrari has issued one of those passive replacement campaigns (you get a fix if you complain) for front stabiliser bars ball joints (rotules de barres stabilisatrices), will have mine changed at the yearly service.
Good to know that you're having a good customer experience at the new dealership in Geneva.

That is terrrible and I am even more shocked that it happened in Geneva. I was under the impression that Geneva was one of the few places left that a car like a Ferrari could be left parked on the street without any problems. Really terrible.

Hi,

yes, i have this clonk noise as well. Though at speed (240 kmh), i had the steering vibrating a lot, so i think it's either related to that, or it's bad wheel weighting. It's interesting to read this story about passive replacement campaign. I had a problem on the 993 cab with the roof closing motors (5 years ago), and i just read that they are starting a campaign right now (though the car is not in production since 6 years) for these motors....

Concerning the dealership, they're really very different from what it used to be (dealership changed). They are extremly friendly.
It's a shock as well for me to see the way Geneva went. If you still want swiss "spirit" you have to move more in the country....

Hear in north america i've never had that problem at all. I certainly didn't think that sort of thing would happen in geneva, well just shows how pathetic peopel are becoming.

It is very sad. I never park on the street in London anymore due fear of being vandalized. So far I have been fortunate but many of my friends have been victims of this senseless stupidity.

Car is back !

Hi everyone.

Good news, the car is back.

They managed as well to polish the corners of the brake pads (car is FHP), so the squeaking is almost completly gone.
The mirrors are back (hope for good...), and the car looks too good for me :-D
