Is it possible and/or practical to convert a 456 GT to a GTS (i.e. Targa) ? Would this be easier than a convertible conversion ? Any advice would be appreciated. Boxer 42
I believe you still need to strengthen the wind-shield/screen. In a coupe there is a support bar going across the top just above the door. But on GTS they don't have the bar. Also you will have to remove the frame on the windows (assuming the 456 has them).Dr. Bob said:I think it is easier since the car will stay more rigid, and therefore won't need any extra strengthening. I do not know about regulation, but maybe a comvertible conversion gives more problems with the law than a GTS?
