I just came across an ad for a Daytona Spider going for 1.3 million. Am I missing something here? I thought Daytona's were going for $350k - $450k.

Andrew, I suppose you were missing something. Seriously, what Boxer says is the current trend. Nevertheless, what is hard for me to comprehend is that how come spiders/ roadsters are exceedingly high is values compared to coupes. (Even taking into considerations that there are less production numbers of spiders/ roadsters, market prices seem out of balance. Just my two cents.) Jimmy

There is always the fact that people prefer to have the spyder/roadsters and they seem "cooler." But really I'm not sure.

for how long does that huge price gap exist?

is that an indication that Daytona's (berlinettas) price will rise?

RM Auction May 18 @ Maranello

Just came across this article in a Japanese car magazine listing RM Auction results. Lot #311 Daytona Spyder 1971 #14415 went for 875,000 Euro; lot #336 Daytona Coupe 1971 #14345 went for 250,000 Euro. The list showed over 40+ F cars that ranged from 1961 250GT SWB to 2004 Enzo and the prices seemed strong. Jimmy

From what I have seen over the last 6-10 months, Daytona Berlinetta prices have stabilized in the Euro 225-250k range. A few dealers are asking Euro 270k but the cars are not moving.
