Was driving my car today at around 40 mph and the info display which displays if you're low on fuel or other fluids starts flashing the words "Slow Down".

Even when I slowed down and stopped it ws still flashing "Slow Down"...

I tried turning the engine off and on and its still flashing "Slow Down".

The cars performance doesn't seem to be affected however I need to know why its doing it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that means the exhaust temps are getting too hot. It could be a bad sensor or a partially plugged catalytic converter. Sounds like it may be time to take it in for a little look at.

It could also be a bad plug, a loose sensor, or caused by a blown fuse. I would check to see that the sensors are well connected and then check the fuse box. Afterwards I would disconnect the battery, then reconnect and "reboot" the cars computer/engine management system (directions on how to do this will be in the owners manual but it is easy). If it is also making a slight ticking noise at low speed, it is probably a bad plug. If none of the above work, you will probably need to take it to a dealer.
