good day to you all ferrari men. it's me agian. I have decided to
trade in my 355F1 for either modena or the spyder. I don't really
have any clue because I haven't driven either of them. well my appointment for the test drive for the spyder was canceled due to
heavy snow storm. two things I am concerned with. one, the style.
modena seems better when the spyder has its top on but the spyder
does look better when it has it down. two, which one is easier to live with. perhaps the answer is clear but by how much? is it really disastrous to have an covertible ferrari? I have a few friends who used to have 348 spyder and 355 spyder and they all switched to 355 coupe and modena. I never asked why yet.

I just love the Spyder, that's my choice
and maybe you'd better ask your friends why they changed.
I know that overhere you pay more insurrance on a cabrio cuz it's easyier to brake in or for vandals, they just cut the roof open with a knife.

BTW there a snowstorm in korea???
i didn't even knew that it snows there

thanks

thanks DJ D. for your input. yes it does snow here...a lot. climate here is almost identical to Boston where I studied half of my life. well...it is no surprise you like the spyder cause its just beautiful. but imagine having it for a year or two...would you still like it as much or would you rather want coupe then? when I was in college I used to have a golf cabrio which fixed up good with all ABT parts. I loved that car....for a year. then I kind of wished I had a coupe which obviously was less beautiful. I can't explain why I would ever want a less beautiful car but I guess its that 'livability.' if this is not a word employ your intuition^^ I know I would want a spyder if I were to rent a car for a month or two...you know what I mean. by the way do you have a modena? how is it? love to hear about it.

Yes, i know what you mean
Unfortunually i don't have a ferrari, i'm still 22, but hopefully will be an owner later.
The biggest choice between coupe or cabrio is in my opinion dependable of the place where you live (wheater and stuff like that) and will it be your primary car or not

lectio,
If it snows there alot I would suggest that you buy the coupe if the 360 is your everyday drivers. Reason being you won't be able to put the top down in the winter and it will be much easier to hold its heat with a coupe. I haven't been in the spyder but no matter how well the top is made they still pick-up more wind noise and over time you'll get little drafts of cold air leaking in.

I made my choice for the Spider version as I wanted to drive a convertable. In summer it's a nice weather here in Switzerland. About the design, I prefer the Modena where the engine rear part is nicer designed than the Spider version. The Spider is also more expensive. No complaints however about noise.
About color : red, yellow, blue, silver...black ? hmmm with a dark color you do not see easily the nices curves on this car. Yellow is very nice but gets boring after a while. Metallic silver is very nice indeed on the 360 but it's very discret for a Ferrari.

I have choosen red as it's my first Ferrari, but the next one will be blue or silver..more discret.

Didier.

so it has been proven that we aren't all exactly the same. of course besides the burning love we all share among men here. it is quite diffcult to pick out a color that makes ferrari ugly, no, even normal. no colors can hide its beauty. to be honest. I like red, silver, and black, any of these colors on it. yes, I sound like a young boy who doesn't have a mind of his own. but the truth is...I'm a young boy^^. I guess I just have to make a commitment like I am getting married and try to keep my faith with my choice. like you spaceboy, I already have a red one so I have earn my ticket to try those non-ferrari colors. however I am not sure if I really want to be so discrete with my ferrari. I kind of like that screaming out presence of the car in public. it's fun. moreover...I thought silver was more space-like and more futuristic theme than any other...oh well.
thanks guys again for your passionate inputs. I am coming quite close to making my mind of it.

I have a Modena in Silver which I think is the best color for the hard top. I also think that the Modena does look better than the spyder but Love convertible cars which makes the decision harder - the view of the engine is better in Modena shape but sound of engine better with the roof off... What a great decision to make. I think the Spyder looks good in red (don't like the modena in red) , silver and black (with tan interior is really cool).
Whatever the decision enjoy the beast.
