I'm trying to find out why the intake plenum on the 360 incorporates a balance valve. From what I can see, the valve is wide open at idle but for some reason closes as RPM increases due to vacuum dissipating. Why does the valve exist and why would it close with increased RPM? It should be closed at idle and open with RPM to help increase air flow and balance both banks of the engine! Someone please help!

Wish I could answer that, but maybe some of the 360 owners here may have an answer. Good luck.
