I am interested in purchasing a 355. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to test drive one yet. I have driven several Ferraris in the past and currently own a Porsche Boxster.

Has anyone had a positive experience with a California dealer or recommend a potential resource?

Don, Suggest you also check the classified both here and on Ferrari Market Letter. A Private Purchase with a PPI will save some $$ over buying from a dealer. Good luck.

I will check out Ferrari of Orange County when I get back into town. I spend a lot of time in SF and am going to check Camissa in Burlingame or the dealer on or near Van Ness.

What should I expect from a dealer in regards to a test drive? I am a young guy and have been shot down twice (once by the Ferrari dealer in SD). I am not willing to beg and plead with a guy for a test drive when I am trying give him $80K+.

Don, Only advice would be to dress well and tell them up front that you are serious. You might also call in advance to set up the test drive. Good luck.

I live in SF and would recommend Ferrari of San Francisco in Mill Valley.

415-380-9700 ask for Evan, he is a good guy and will help you out. I have heard mixed things about the dealer near Van Ness (on Franklin) and doubt they will let you test drive but I could be wrong.
