Hi,

i just bought a 348tb, and i want to upgrade the exhaust sound

i know than the easiest way to upgrade it is to remove the lower silencer and to place 2 stainless steal exaust pipes.

What do you think about this?

is the sound really different, what about power increase?

I'm not sure of the configuration of a 348 exhaust, is the lower silencer the only muffler on the car? If not, I would think you'd be ok. If it is the only silencer, (you can't count the catalytic convertors) than in the USA at least, it would be illegal to remove them. Maybe in Belgium it would be OK but it still may be a little loud for enjoyable driving.

Maybe you should consider a new performance exhaust, such as a Tubi. I don't think I've ever heard a negative comment about the Tubi exhaust (except for the price). It will set you back a few Euros. Probably as much as 2,300 EUR for a 348.

there are two muffler on the 348.

this is a supersprint stainless steal exhaust...soo nice...and expensive (3000 euro)

and this one is only the pipe replacement from koenigg after removing lower muffler...

This is the exhaust to get for the 348 .......... it saves about 25-30 pounds off the the single can system and over 50 pounds off the two can system ........... and it sounds like this :

One of the reasons I bought this spider was because everything I could possibly want to upgrade was already done including x-ost, hyperflows, carbon fiber heat exchanger, SS carbon fiber seats, 360 chrome Modena wheels, 30k service etc...

And the night life well let's just say I am never bored to say the least..lol

In fact here is what went on just an hour ago on my way home.

I went to McDonald's for a late night Angus burger(delicious by the way) while waiting in a line up three deep I notice the lead mini van put his auto in reverse and back up without looking behind him, making the person behind him suddenly back up thus making the really cute girl in front of me back up and hit my Porsche cabrio relatively hard enough that I thought my air bags would deploy luckily they did not.

Getting out of my car I hear OMG it's Roberto(coming from the cute girls car) she starts to get upset and I say WTF she says it wasn't my fault and I replied I know as I make my way toward the mini van. The guy was not all there a little inebriated any hoo long story short I didn't hurt him but made him apologies to every one in line the girl was embarrassed but extremely friendly(and knows my GF..:crazy the car a slight scratch nothing more thank god and I received my meal for free..:grin:
