 I just bought a 1986 328 & as an engineer, I don't like anybody handling maintenance on my vehicles. Not on my Porsche, not on my Bimmers. So I definitely intend to do all maintenance work on this exotic. My problem is: where do I buy parts? I am a San Diegan & I tried most websites already where I buy parts for my Porsche & Bimmer but this Ferrari is much exotic than my other cars. Can somebody help my search. I appreciate it mucho.

I'm currently working on a site www.monracing.com that will carry some Ferrari parts. However, the parts for Ferrari are not yet up (working daily to finish the site). The other drawback is much of the parts are performance parts such as a Borla Exhaust etc.

Oops, forgot to mention www.evansauto.com -- they sometimes advertise parts on E-bay. I recently purchase 2 new and improved electric window motors from Evans for my 308. Very prompt shipping, e-mailed me instructions with pictures, and the motors work great! I'm sure they sell many other parts as well, since they service exotics.

Other than the nearby Ferrari dealer, I've also had great luck with T.Rutlands and Maranello Auto -- good prices and very close by. ItalianCarParts has always supplied quality parts also, but they can sometimes cost a few more $$$ than others.

Also, try listing the specific part number on Google & see what you come up with (like "Ferrari XXXXXX"). I see that Ricambi America wasn't listed... neither was "Hill Engineering", in the U.K., or "Unobtanium Supply". Don't forget to go thru your service manual & parts book very thoroughly. If you don't have them they can be downloaded online for free, thanks to some very helpful owners!.

Cheers,
Rich
