I have to rebuild a 1978 American 308 engine because of main bearing problems. I am told that the problem was caused by the American only engine sump that is not deep enough. I have ordered another deeper sump from a 1980 308. Is there anything else that is not a stock item that I should use in the engine when I do the rebuild? I am open to all suggestions.
