Just bringing this back to the front. We've got 11 Ferrari's so far! 6 different Countries represented (I'm not sure where Stradale is) and 10 different models (Ok, I am counting the Berlinetta and Spider as separate and the Stradale, well, its a Stradale). Guys, if your email address is not in your profile please send it to me in a PM or at [email protected]. Once we have 12 Ferraris I will put all the names into a hat and have my wife draw them to see which Ferrari gets featured for which month.

Next step will be to make sure I have all your email addresses and figure out the requirements for all the photos.
I'll be in touch!

Thanks guys! I was telling Andrew how I am looking forward to this calendar. My wife gave my a "Dream Cars" calendar for 2004; its cool but I'd rather have a calendar with "real cars" owned by "real people". The people on the FerrariForum are not movie stars or millionaires. They are friendly, down-to-earth people that share a passion for Ferrari! (and we got some cool cars :green: ).

Pete,

Thanks for doing alot of the leg work. I can tell everyone this. Uncompressed (RAW) images are the best. So if your camera supports .tiff or some RAW format that is the best option. This will mean large photos but I can figure out a way to channel them to me.

Second thing is how big do you all want this thing? Only sold here on the site? Or do you want to be able to pick it up at your local Wal-Mart/Target or whatever you have around you?

I was thinking standard wall calendar size. The pictures on the Dream Cars calendar Marni bought me are 11" high x 12" wide. So the fully opened calendar is 22" tall. Perfect for the back of a door or that blank spot on the wall.

As for distribution, well, I have no idea how that works. I mean, c'mon, I drill holes in the bottom of the ocean for a living. If you limit the sales to only available through the forum then how many would we be able to move? I know I want at least 5, 2 for myself and 3 for gifts. Every diehard FF'er will get at least one. But even then, you are probably looking at only 200 or so.

Would it be possible to get the calendars into WalMart or Bookland? If we come up with some good stuff then maybe a national calendar company would pick it up and distribute it? I don't know how that part works but if you could get the calendars into WalMart I would think you would sell a bunch to people who have an interest in Ferraris (or just sports cars in general) but are unaware of this site or people buying Xmas gifts for others. And with the "see xxxx at FerrariForum.net" on the bottom of each pic the site would take a huge boost.

The site would probably make enough money to run itself for eternity and you could put down that deposit for the 360 and I'd be banging on your door saying "Hey! It was my idea!" :green: :green: :green:

About the pictures....how would everyone like to see them...just the cars or the cars with the owners posing beside or behind them? Either way is fine, but having the owners in the pics would be very "down to earth" and definately different from every other generic supercar calender out there. Just a thought. I'd like to hear other ideas?

Not a bad idea so lets do both, pics with owners, and pics without.

I wanted to bring this back up to the front and let everyone know that this issue is still alive. Andrew and I have been hammering out some of the details and I will be contacting all who want to be a part of the calendar within the next few weeks.

Just a heads up, everyone who is in the calendar will receive one free. There will also be a little profit sharing depending on how the calendar sells. I think the cars we have in the line up will make an awesome calendar. And it will be an awesome piece of artwork to display. For this year we are going to sell it exclusively through this website. For later years, we will try and get it into the larger bookshops.

So when you take your photos, take more than one. Use the highest resolution and the largest size your camera offers. When you have the photos, let me or Andrew know and we will tell you how to get them to us.

Someone wants a picture of my 550? Mine would get maybe 45 or 48 points in a car show. It is driven as a car. It sometimes is very dirty and I do not care. As long as it goes like it should, I care not about its appearance. OK, I just had it waxed but the interior is still not exactly clean.

Mine would be the 13th month of the year.

you know, afer those 24 hour races those cars look cool with all that dirt on them. I you drive a long time and make the car very dirty like that, you will make it to my desktop if you show a picture, as for the calander, I believe all places are already filled...
