I want to try and get together pictures of 12 of our forum member Ferraris and see if we can't come up with a Ferrari Forum calendar for 2005. I got with Andrew and he said he'd try and find some pricing info.

One of our cars will be the feature Ferrari each month. Haven't worked out all the details but I was thinking a high quality photo of the car and on the bottom a little caption telling about it. Like for me it would be "1979 Ferrari 308 GTS, Maine USA, Pete04222 on FerrariForum.Net" or something like that. When the weather gets nice I will have my wife take some photos of my car. Thats one month, we need to fill 11 more. Who's in?

I don't want this to just be a calendar with pictures of Ferraris, I've already got one of those. I want a calendar with OUR Ferraris!

So the list so far:

Halfway there!! Looking like a pretty darn good list! (no matter what Dirk says! :green: )

do you have a good sideshot that shows the color better?
i didn't changed the resolution, but did a quick compression on it, so here it is

Am I interested!?! Yes!!! Absolutely!!!! I see you are new to the Forum, Welcome! I hope you plan on checking in and posting often. Where are you located? By all means try and get a pic of your car in the garage section so we can all drool over it.

As for the calendar photo, we are still on the ground floor of this project so I don't need pictures yet. I was thinking somewhere around August I'll be looking to collect photos. That should give us all plenty of time to go out and get our best "Calendar picture". I look forward to seeing what ze_shark is going to provide for pics, he's in Switzerland and from what he's posted in the garage section we could make a calendar with just his pictures.

And Dirk,
What do you mean "ooh common"? Since when is ANY Ferrari "common". :green: :green: Actually, the 246 is one of my favorite Ferraris and I would love to see one in the calendar. But like I said, I want this to be OUR calendar with OUR Ferraris in it. I don't believe I've seen a FF user with a 246. Maybe you ought to go get one. :green:

Thanks for the welcome. The pictures I have of the car have been taken in sunlight and have lots glare. I will provide a print worthy picture later.

4i2fly, where are you located? I have never seen a front plate like that before. We have quite the worldwide selection of Ferraris (well, so far just USA and EU). I'll update our little Ferrari list with the countries that the cars reside in.

Ok, I'm reposting some of ze_shark's pictures because he has taken the best photos! These are the kind of pictures I was thinking about for calendar photos. This is the kind of photo I want to look at for a full month. A fine picture of the car and a fine shot of the landscape where your stallion runs. Lets all try and see if we can out-do Shark! I'm gonna try but he has set a high standard!

The first one is my favorite, the second one is my wife's favorite. (I shrank the pictures to be able to post them all the full size picture is more impressive and can be seen in the garage section.)

So that's 7 cars, only 5 more to go. I'm hoping to hear from Ebrink, Bart, and Peter (GT4). I figure if we can get all the pics by August then we should be able to have the calendars by Xmas with no problems.

I am actually in the San Francisco Bay Area. I actually have not put the front plates and I keep getting stop for it. The plate you see in the picture is a dummy plate to take pictures for a Persian article in Machine Magazine in Iran. That day, a 2001 Porsche Gambala, 2001 BMW M3 and my car were being featured by a friend who is a contributing editor of the magazine.

Thanks 4i2fly, I've gone back and added that info.

I was thinking some more about the captions and think it should be on the bottom, superimposed, with the FerrariForum logo and maybe something in the order of: Country (with state or county and only if desired), year, model, color (or "colour" in Bazil's case), and FF user name.

So in my case it would be something like:
Maine, USA 1979 308 GTS in Rosso Corsa
Pete04222 on FerrariForum.net

or in 4i2fly's case:
California, USA 2000 360 Modena in Rosso Dino
4i2fly on FerrariForum.net

Comments? Ideas? Something to keep in mind when you take your pictures, keep the car a little high in the pic so there will be room to have the caption superimposed. Maybe a blurb about where the pic was taken? Let me know what you think guys! I'm willimg to do all the leg work but it is our calendar! What do you guys want to see? Am I on the right track?

i think Peter flew back to work, so that means that he might check in, else he'll start posting a lot of messages in about 3 weeks
but i'm sure you will be on, you are the only GT4 right now

and i want as much as different cars as possible :green:
and if we have to choose a same model then it has to be a different color
i would love to see lots of non red ferrari's in that calender, that should be cool and very different

i'll send a pm to Stradale, cuz i haven't seen him online in a while
