Just had a major service done on my 1996 F355.

Over the weekend I noticed the oil temperature gague needle was at 3/4 maximum.

Is this normal after a major service. This was not happening before the service.

Any ideas as to why this is ??

Thanks,

Ron

No, it is not normal. I can think of a few things they might have done, but considering what you must have paid for the major service, I'd take it back. -Steve

take it back

take it back, tell them that this only happened after they performed a major. and tell them to give ya a complimentary oil change in the future for the inconvenience.

Oil Temp

Diagnosing in cyberspace often backfires, but if you insist....
Possibilities: loose connection at oil temp sender, ground wire from engine to frame not re-installed, main harness connector bad connection, oil temp sender wire squashed between two pieces somewhere.
Without seeing the car, it's really hard to tell. The folks who did the service should take a look.
