Did you check the fuse panel up front? I think I had a similar problem when I had my '86 but just had to replace the fuse. Sometimes there is just a little corosion around the contacts or the fuse just fails and it is not visable to the naked eye. I wish I still had the shop manuals but I think I gave them to the new owner when I sold the car. Electrical problems are always so much [email protected]#$%. Good luck!
