I finally got the Mondial running. I picked it up from the garage on Friday and headed home, top down. The hot heavy California weather didn't bother me one bit. I loved the smooth crisp ride. And when I asked it, it flew forward, with ease.

I am still trying to get the gear shift right. I miss now and then, but in time, it will be smooth. I wish I had more leg room and especially peddle room. My big feet have a hard time making contact with just the clutch.

Over-all, a great ride.

Never sure if Ferrari's are masculine or feminine, they should be masculine but linguists would probably say opposite

I have had problems with foot room in Ferraris in the past. Suggest you get a good pair of driving shoes with softer rubber soles. Made all the difference in my case.

Congrats on the Mondial.

Should be masculine? No way man!

Ferraris are like beautiful women. Curvaceuos, sensual, and striking.
When I get in my Ferrari, I make love to it, putting my hands all over it, carressing the steering wheel, a light sensual touch on the shifter, and sometimes I even whisper sweet-nothings in her ear.:D

It's not called Testarossa for nothing. My lisence plate even says "red head" on it.

ohh la countach--roughly translated--look at that beautiful women.

I've had the same problem on the 308, one pair of shoes is fine, the other pair is too wide and I hit the brake pedal with my left foot when I go to press in the clutch. Very awkward. So when I look at shoes I just make sure the bottom of the shoe isn't wider than my foot. A lot of cross-trainers and other shoes are flared out on the sole to distribute the load better when running. "Um, Honey, don't buy me those shoes. I have a Ferrari to drive so I need to pound the pedals, I don't need shoes to pound the pavement with."

I tried all kinds of clever names or sayings and they were all taken. I ended up with this one. I was suprised no one else had thought of this.

It's difficult to get a good plate in the UK because you have to have a set comination and sequence of letters and numbers, currently XX07XXX.
There have been some good one's in the past, the most memorable being: PEN15
BOL10X (do you use the Bollocks word in the US?)
4KER

Plus the usual
250GTO
200MPH
308GTS .etc

new mondial owner as well...

From one recently new Mondial owner to another - congrats! Sounds like you got it home the proper way - drove it. I had mine shipped :(

Bought mine the weekend after July 4th and promptly took it to Norwoods in Dallas where it has been ever since getting everything fixed and brought up to date from head to toe. Should be completed tomorrow then it's off to the restorer where it'll get new carpet, new interior bits here & there and redyeing all the leather. Will post pics once done

In the meantime - enjoy your new ride!

I did that also

but not as extensive. All my leather was in great shape as was the other parts of the vehicle. My problems was in the fuel area. It wouldn't start and I couldin't get it going. I took it to a shop who did the 30k checkup and replacement. It runs great. But I am still haveing issues with the fuel and timing. I get that done tomorrow.

Other than that, rides great and I am getting used to the shifting sequence, etc.

Good luck, hope your on the road soon.

Hank
