A Bad Example

Below is the sign posted at the exit from Katie's, onto Georgetown Pike. The other picture was taken a few weeks ago, of a guy who decided to do a burnout up the exit, towards Georgetown Pike. Are you impressed? The cop, who was sitting across the street, and beat the truck thru the intersection, was not impressed. A large group of Katie's regulars applauded the cop.

The first day of September was overcast, but dry. I saw some lightning on the way to the event, but never saw a drop of rain.

Nevertheless, attendance was down... but still not at all bad. A small but impressive variety of Ferraris. I saw my first Corvette ZR-1 there today. One of my favorites is the Intermeccanica Italia - a simply gorgeous spyder.

All week long, we've had temperatures in the nineties, and high humidity. The weekend is down to the seventies, but it rained a good portion of Friday night, and it's threatening rain today. When I drove to Katie's around 5:00AM, there was no rain, and the streets were dry. However, the threat of rain meant that it was after 6:30AM before we had a good crowd.

It was overcast, with a very light mist, on my way to Katie's, early this morning. However, it never rained, and we had a pretty good turnout. We had a couple of 458's, as well as Dave R.'s 550, Fred N's 308 and Dan S's 599.

Very light rain early this morning made me doubt we'd have much of a turnout today, but it wasn't bad... It cleared up around 7AM. We even had a few Ferraris!

A really good Saturday at Katie's. Mild temperature meant a big turnout of Ferraris.

Fall is here! The first really cool Saturday morning in months. A bit of mist early, and, of course, it stays dark well past 7AM. This is what passes for a lightly-attended Katie's, but we still more than filled up the front lot - and not with boring daily drivers!

Very light rain when I left the house this morning, but it had stopped by the time I arrived at Katie's. Cool, but not cold this morning - jacket weather. A good turnout of cars (particularly Ferraris) and people!

A rainy Saturday at Katie's. A low turnout, of cars and people, but not a total bust. We had about 25 people inside. I found the two Peugeots interesting. See? - there's always something worth seeing at Katie's!

Summer is over, but as an all year driver, there will be more sunny days.
Thanks again Bob, two pictures off our last wednesday meeting.

It rained last night, and was still sprinkling when I left home. Rain stopped before 7AM, and people showed up a little later than usual - but they did show up, including one Ferrari while I was there, and I saw a second Ferrari heading towards Katie's, as I left at 8:15AM.

The last picture shows something I didn't recognize - does anybody know what it is? I'll post the answer later.

A perfect November Saturday! Cold, but clear and dry. We were rewarded by a lot of interesting vehicles, including a few especially nice Ferraris.

A cold but dry Saturday! Especially nice, after we had our first snow of the year Thursday of this week. The snow had been cleared by rain, and there wasn't too much salt on the roads. A fairly good turnout for the weekend before Thanksgiving.

More Ferraris than I expected today!.

A smaller-than-usual turnout, probably because it was threatening rain (but never actually did rain at Katie's), and because it was Thanksgiving Weekend. Still, we had a good time with friends. ...and, there was a Ferrari there today.

You can't ask for much better weather than we had this morning, considering it's the first of December. Low-to-mid-thirties, at 5:00AM, with no wind - it was actually pretty nice. Katie's was certainly not as crowded as July or August, but that's perfectly OK with me, considering the general quality of vehicles and people there today. It was good enough weather to have four Ferraris there today...

Cold and clear today - it was 21F on my way to Katie's this morning. The good news - no wind, no rain, and no salt on the roads yet. A pretty good showing of Ferraris today!
