gentlemen; If I still lived in VA, I would have shown up in my newest toy; meet "Blue Thunder" my 1974 Mini 1000. 998cc's of fury. This is how it looked when it showed up at my dad's house. Second pic is why I bought it; someone else has gone thru the pain of doing the metal/paint. Now we're going to have some fun doing engine, brakes, suspension . .. .

Hope all you guys are doing well.

Very cool Bryan.
Reminds me of the 72 Mini I had when I lived in the UK, a tremendously fun car.
Enjoy !!!

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

It was wet when I left for Katie's, early this morning. It was a bit cold for early spring - 42 degrees. No rain at all on the way in, though. Looks like that was enough to discourage a lot of people, but not all of us!

A combination of good weather and lots of car events later today brought out the crowds! A good selection of Ferraris there today, since Spring Thaw is later today. (I added a Fiat I hadn't seen before at the end.)

What happens at Katie's when it suddenly starts raining? Well, those of us in open cars... run away! Today's cars & coffee was doing well, until... it started raining around 7:20AM. A quick exit for all the roadsters. A nice turnout while it lasted, though! (I only saw Bobert's Ferrari there today.)

An overcast morning, which meant a slow start, but we ended up with a good turnout, overall. Only one Ferrari, though - Bobert's F550.

We've had 10 straight days of rain. It rained all day and most of the night Friday. What do we have to do to get a decent weekend? When I left the house, the roads were wet, but we lucked out, and it did not rain at Katie's. The overcast and the wet roads made lots of folks hesitate, but most still showed up, but an hour or so later than usual. An impressive showing, all things considered.

Only a few Ferraris there today... but nice ones! Oh, and when is the last time you saw a Subaru Brat?

This morning, I realized that this year, we are not so much car enthusiasts, as much as sun worshippers. The few times this spring that we see clear skies, the crowds and great cars come out. It sure happened at Katie's this morning!

The Ferraris finally came out in force (forza?) today.

It was a rainy Saturday. That's nothing new; May 2016 has been pretty much a complete washout. It has rained every single weekend. Well, it can't beat us! Even when it rains, we have several people who show up to talk cars.

Our friend Chuck brought his week-old Macan S. Everybody spent pretty much the whole time talking inside Katie's. There were still some interesting vehicles on the lot, though. No Ferraris, though.

Sorry for the lack of pictures the last 2 weeks. Something changed on the site, and it won't accept the format I have been using all along. I have sent messages to the Admins, last week and this week, but no responses yet.

OK, I'll try ONE MORE TIME...

NOPE! Every time I attempt to attach any pictures, I get the error message -

IMG_6505.jpg:
This is not a valid image file.

I am using the same software, and using the same technique, for attaching photos as I have here for years. I have sent messages to the administrators the last two weeks, with no response.

Hi Bob,
Good to see you this morning at Katie's.
Its not you, I just tried to upload a JPG foto and got the same error.
There's definitely something wrong on the server side of this site, maybe a recent config change or its about to run out of disk space and therefore fotos are rejected. Hopefully they can resolve it soon.

see you at CnC

A really good turnout today; the front lot at Katie's was full by 6:15AM! A good amount of Ferraris there today.

A gorgeous morning, with a predictably great turnout at Katie's. A pretty good variety of Ferraris.

Bonus: This XKE just came back from a full restoration. It looks amazing without bumpers!

This morning was overcast, but comfortable. Lots of cars, and a big crowd. Two Stanley Steamers, and a Ferrari Daytona were interesting additions today.

With 2016 over half over, Katie's is just hitting its stride. I won't bore with the cars you've already seen; here are some new ones!

Other new & old stuff we hadn't seen before -

The new 2017 Acura NSX.
A Mille Miglia Chrysler.
A Cobra Daytona Coupe replica.
The new, Miata-based Fiat 124 Spyder.
...and, some Italian cars, too...
