Afterwards, many regulars went over to parade past a local Great Falls resident's house, at his daughter's request. Dr. Art Pilla raced Porsches, back in the day. Now in his 90's, he is unable to get out to Cars & Coffee, as he would like. We brought the Cars & Coffee event to him.
It's always interesting to see what effect a holiday weekend has on attendance at Katie's. While some regulars I expected to see were not there (getting one last holiday weekend out of town), there was no shortage of interesting vehicles there.
A good turnout at Katie's, early this morning... then, it started raining, intermittently. Many of us bolted - I wasn't so lucky. I had my initiation into the world of low-volume kitcars... My Seven would not start, but after some serious diagnostics by a lot of talented people, I was able to get towed by a Katie's regular.
Thanks to all the folks who helped me with my car this morning!
Now that I have learned how to dress for driving the Seven in cool weather, I can make the 20-minute drive to Katie's, early Saturday morning, and enjoy the morning without freezing. Still, I have my limits, and likely won't be driving it when the temps are in the thirties.
As usual, some really interesting Italian (and other) vehicles there today!
