Good to see the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds flying again after the sequester grounding.

Bob, they will be flying again today at 2pm

I can see them from our beach and when they fly over the house.

You should have heard all the car alarms going off when the flew by at low altitude.

Congrats to the Class of 2014 and thanks to all of you who have served.

They were really crawling on that high AoA pass. You could see the throttles come up to keep them flying with the AoA that high and drag off the charts.

It's about 120 mph.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Thanks Dave.

It does look awfully slow in the video.

I imagine the fuel burn is quite high with all that drag.

One of the things the F/A-18 is known for is attitude control at high AoAs. The F-15 and F-16 drivers that fought them always had to watch out for their ability to point at you at very high AoA and take a shot.

They would not let us use real missiles or ammo in the cannon.

An F-15E got credit for an aerial victory in Desert Storm, when they took a helicopter out with an LGB just as it lifted off.
