Mid Atl Region Drive Sunday, July 7

For all of you who are in need of even more driving after the one on the 6th, please join us.

We'll be leaving the Donut, Sunday, July 7 at around 9:30AM for a fun, backroad cruise to a casual lunch destination.

We'll plan on completing sometime around 12 noon.

Hmm...Annapolis?

Please tell me where you would suggest and what parking would be like?

I would have to come up with a route that could take us over there but it might be possible.

Thanks,
LS

Barchetta and friends had great luck parking in front of the Marriott Waterfront Hotel on ego Alley and sitting dockside with umbrella drinks, live music and food at Pussers. They'll park exotics out front if you advise them in advance that you are bringing high-end cars. Good for their biz image.

I could let you into the Fleet Reserve (drinks and food are half as much as Pussers, right next door, also overlooking the harbor at Ego Alley). Metered parking next door. I'd have to let you in before I leave our C&C event - so meet me at City Dock before noon. They serve an excellent breakfast brunch at around 10am - noon. Jim, Barry, Chip et al joined me there a couple of months ago. Inexpensive buffet (around $12pp, $1 mimosas and Bloody Mary's dockside).

Lastly, I could arrange a guest pass for you at the Annapolis Yacht Club. They may allow you to park on the lot or across the bridge at our annex. Probably the priciest of options. Shoes and shirts required, blazer and tie optional.

PM me if you prefer option 2 or 3 and I'll help you out buddy.

From Church, the quickest direction is:

RTE 32 East to I-97 South,
then Route 50 West to Rowe Blvd
follow signs and GPS to City Dock

Maybe 30-45 minutes from Church in a Ferrari, even less time in a Pantera.

I think one of our first meetings was at AYC over a decade ago.

Al, very interesting...let me see what the consensus is with the route.

We were planning a drive...the guys are all setting up camber and heat cycling tires as it was to be a true backroads adventure with no freeways.

Maybe we can satisfy that requirement another way.

Thanks,
LS

I got my misfire problem fixed in the 328. Hopefully I'll make the next one. What time did you actually leave the donut and get back?
