The Elegance at Hershey

Is anyone going to this? It has become one of the premier concours events on the East Coast. I wanted to judge at it but the heavy hitter boys from Pebble Beach all muscled their way in. Goes to show you what the level of the playing field is. This translates to Pebble Beach quality cars on the grounds of the Hotel Hershey.

The Friday and Saturday Grand Ascent is definitely worth watching as well. There is club parking for the Grand AScent down at the start line. Just be careful, with all this rain, there will be some muddy spots.

My suggestion for Saturday is to start at the bottom, follow the trail up to the top. That affords you several great viewing spots. Then at the end of the day, you can take the shuttle back to the bottom.

Sunday will be fantastic. i can't wait to see what will roll up the hill.

regards

ken

Agree with Ken, it is a very nice event. Did not run the hillclimb as the rules demand some VSCCA safety features which I was not willing to make on a very original car. We did win two trophies (Most Elegant Sports Racer and the Hagerty Youth 1st Place Award) and had a chance to display an official soft top for the Mondial. Shown here it was not for rain protection but help for sun protection. HelenAnn almost made like Mary Poppins on our way to the awards stand.

Best regards,

But..

But the best was the talk you gave to the Hagerty Youth judges (of which my daughter was one). Thanks for sharing your passion with us and the community.

Its sad that we lost you and the entire entourage to NM, but...Its warm to know that you will be sharing your story and your car with a whole new set of people. They are so lucky to have you.

We need some pictures of the 500 in some deserty type settings!

regards

ken

That's hilarious. He didn't pickup Wetpet!

Admiral, everytime I pick up and read the Cavallino magazines from you I think of you and your family. I trust you are enjoying the new home and rides in the hills.

Dear Al,

Happy that you are enjoying the magazines. The Phillips tribe has not yet departed the area and the moving truck is supposed to be heading out along about the 10th of July. Boatloads of stuff to do before then however, none of it car stuff unfortunately.

Best regards,

Robert

The Alfa unloading in Santa Fe was no problem; it took a lot less horsepower to get it down the ramp than it did up!

the Mondial will bet picked up sometime next week for its trip to RoadAmerica for the FCA 50th. Hope to see yall there.
