Open House and Car Show June 8 in Damascus MD

Finally, a reason for y'all come out to my part of the world. A good buddy of mine, Andy Cohen, is opening a pretty cool spot, in the heart of Damascus. He bought the 9 acre old Damascus Chevrolet Dealership.

Hot Rod Alley presents its first annual Car Show on June 8th at 26100 Woodfield Road from 10 to 3.

There will be a DJ, food vendors and photo ops. Should be fun. There are already some very cool cars on site, utilizing the storage area and club area. I'll be there with my 4H club with a lemonade stand of some sort.

Andy is an incredible car guy, he brought his mercielago and the Mad Max car to my Velocity show this past year.

I'm attaching some shots from a photoshoot on the premises a few months ago.

One of the Movie cars

Andy had been on the look out for a Mad Max car for years and ended up finding one in Virginia somewhere.

It will be at the show on June 9th.

Saturday's coming

My good friend, Andy is having his Hot Rod Alley open house coming up this weekend. The car show is scheduled for Saturday and we are expecting 200 or more cars. There's already some cool stuff on site. From exotics to insane hot rods to collector cars, there will be quite a variety.

So, there will be a call made sometime Friday as to whether the raindate of Sunday comes into play. At this point, the show is on for Saturday. Either way, we will see some nice cars. Hopefully some of y'all might show up. There are some great roads out here!

Let me know if you want to come. I can stake out some decent spots. I'll be there early, setting up my 4H Club snack stand.

Registration starts at 10. There is a $15 fee.

The address is:

The Old Damascus Chevrolet building
26100 Woodfield Road
Damascus, MD 20872

We're on

The show is on. Just got back from Andy's Place. Some nice looking cars on site already. They also sawed a salvaged 360 in half and mounted it on the wall. Pretty interesting.

I'll post more later.

Hope to see you there, Ron!

regards

ken

The show is on

Looks like the weather gods are somewhat less likely to ruin tomorrow.

Here are a couple of shots from today at the shop.

Let me know if you want to roll up to Damascus tomorrow. Its an easy trip from Katie's in Great Falls.

What ever Andy does, he does it right. The hangout part is coming together nicely.

The weather turned out perfect and there was lots of horsepower to go around.

the first shot is Andy bringing out one of the 3 Camaro pace cars on display. I think they all are from Andy's collection.

The owner of the second car said that it had a silly amount of horsepower and even with the huge tires, was a bit enthusiastic for the vehicle.

My 4H club setup shop selling water, soda and snacks. We ended up making a buck eighty three for the club. The kids all had a great time looking at cars and working the crowd.

Next year, we need more exotics.
