FoW F12 Event

Hey Guys,

Last week I attended the F12 Event at Ferrari of Washington. I didn't see a thread here, so I thought I would post some pics. The party was last Saturday 2/9/13 from 7 - 9 PM. FoW had a GREAT turnout. Over 200 people were there! This was the first time (for me) that they did an unveiling. So the car was covered until around 7:45 or so when they actually revealed the car.

The place was packed!! Unfortunately, I was stuck in the back, so I didn't get to take too many pics until the crowd dispersed. Still...it was great to see so many friends and members of the FCA-MAR.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Bill P.

I'm not sure what it is with mailing lists. I'm supposedly on FoW's mailing list, but I never got an invite for this event either. I do however ALWAYS get newsletters and event info for their main dealership in San Diego.

While at the FoW event, I did see the 599 GTO they have for sale. Anyone got $550K?? I believe it only has about 500 miles on it.

We spent all afternoon at the Ferrari Store in Manhattan, where we were treated to a personal intro to the F12 and a 458 Spider. We were the only ones there, and had a great time. The car seems smaller than pictures on the outside, but was more spacious on the inside. And it carries an impressive amount of luggage.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

For some reason I also thought the F12 was a big car. In photos it just looks big, but I guess the main reason I thought it was a big car was due to the video I saw of Alonso and Massa both in F12's and running them on the track. Massa was so small. He looked liked a little kid driving that car.

So when I got to see the car in person, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the F12 is just a bit smaller than the 550 Maranello. The interior is spacious and I found it very comfortable.

I was also told that this F12 has a special paint job which is a $25,000 option. FoW isn't expecting their first F12 until sometime this Summer. I also heard a rumor that some guy (not in the DC area) paid $1 Million to own the first F12 in the U.S.

Bill POO, awesome pics.

The F12 looks pretty large...50.1 inches high and 181 inches long is a large car by any measure.

Has one been weighed yet? Ferrari claims just under 3400lbs which means it's really going to be 3600?

For the record, I like J Lo.

Thanks Lash!

If by "J. Lo" you're referring to the beautiful young lady sitting in the car. I totally agree with you!

No, I wasn't referring to her but to the celebrity with curvy bodyparts!
