Anyone interested in going to see George Thorogood and Rob't Cray at Wolftrap 8/10 7:30Pm Looks like decent seats are still available.
While I can't make the show, I have to strongly persuade (pun intended) anyone who has not heard Mr. Cray to give this first-rate composer, singer, and guitar-slinger a listen. I had a front row seat (actually standing) at a gig he did in my town about six years ago. Playing various Stratocasters through a trio of amps (Fender Twin-Reverb in the middle, flanked by Matchless C-30's on each side - labeled 'This One' and 'That One'), he delivered a seminar on tone, technique and virtuosity that is rarely matched. An underappreciated bluesman, if there ever was one... Trust me.
p.s. in the really obscure trivia category, Robert Cray was the bass guitarist for 'Otis Day and the Nights' in National Lampoon's 'Animal House'.
