There's a new Chimp in town

You might recall a posting about a neighbor buddy of mine who traveled w/me all the way to FoW (~160 mi RT) only to be blown off when asked to view and test drive a F360? We showed up in my 360 and the sales staff was down right rude and could care less about selling a car

Well, Dudley finally pulled the trigger last week. Dudley bought a 2000 blue/tan 360 6-speed. He plans to join us at the Warbirds & Ferraris event July 10 in Culpeper VA.

Fellow Chimps will like him - young, nice guy, unassuming, family man. His only vice? He played lacrosse for Hopkins.

Here's a couple of pics in my driveway/street

That is a stunning color combo!

And a 360 coupe is a great buy these days.

Good looking car. I'm glad his interest wasn't lost after the treatment at FoW. I appreciate the exclusivity Ferrari likes to maintain..however there is a line.

I think about half of the people that have approached me talking about "looking at buying a Ferrari" have actually followed through. I've found by being polite and informative 100% of those who purchased return to continue doing business later on. The other half just speak positively on your behalf when a conversation comes up. Both of which are of great value.

I hope he really enjoys the car, and bringing his business elsewhere.

Josh -- are you (bacK) at FoW? Or, or are you an independent servicer?

My buddy shows up at the new/improved FoW in a friend's Ferrari, has $$$ in-hand (accompanied by a two-car Ferrari owner) and gets the run around. Can't find the keys. The battery is dead. Yadayadayada. We wait 60 minutes cooling our heels, then we drive the 80-90 miles back home. Thanks for the memory.

Thank God there are competent service technicians in the industry like Competizione and alternate dealers like Algar who know how to treat and service clients or the Ferrari brand would not live on here in the area.

Peace and Love

Beautiful car. It looks great in blue.

I don't think FoW wants to sell cars. If they hire someone who brings clients in, they fire them immediately. And, how long does it take to take out a dead 360 battery and put in a fresh one? That's a sorry excuse!

I have no affiliation with FoW, I never have or ever will work for them. I don't believe I am the Josh you're thinking of.

I operate my own independant shop in NoVa (Exotic Car Specialties), as listed in the sponsor area.

The other Josh that worked at FOW is Josh Simpson.
Last I heard he was working at the Volvo dealership behind FOW off of Route 28.
Josh was "the Brian" before Brian.

I knew a few guys that went to Volvo after their Ferrari careers in San Diego as well...wonder why that is...

Who is "Brian", the only guy I know at FoW is Arnie.

Is that a Tubi exhaust I see shining through the rear grill on the 360?

The 308 looks immaculate!

Brian was "the Peterson" before Peterson.
These are the folks that had the job position of "service adviser" at FOW.
They were the primary point-of-contact whenever you dropped a car off for service.

Ahh yes, I know who Peterson is as well...atleast from phone contact.

I've only resided in NoVa since January of '09 so I'm not familiar with the FoW personnel history really.

My roots are in San Diego so I appreciate the break down Toggie.

Josh Simpson was the best service manager/writer I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with during my entire life of car ownership.

Josh was a great asset to the former FoW.

Yes, a very rare blue/tan F360 with Tubi no less. Sounds great too.

In response to the captioned title.

"ohh great...another arm for the monkey shit fights...which side does he pick, red or blue"

Pedestrians will need to pass a bit further from the cage.

I grew up in Santee and Pointe Loma. I live in Richmond now but would love to move back to the area.

Sweet car to OP!
