USF1. Stick a fork in 'em!

It appears PW and Anderson have finally thrown a 7.

Sad really, but trying to pull this off in this global economy without some seriously deep pockets was foolish. I'd say without a $100 million burning a hole in your pocket this idea should have never left the bar napkin stage.

Not sure about current annual budgets, but a few years ago the numbers looked like this:

Nationwide stock car $3-5 million per car
Sprint Cup stock car $15 million per car
Indycar $5-10 million per car
Formula 1 $300 million per car.

That's $600 million per year for a front running 2 car team. Even the also rans were probably over $100 million per season. Can't even fathom the start up cost when you have to buy CNC machines and autoclave. Hell, USF1 didn't even have office furniture or workbenches.

Not surprised. It always seemed a half baked undertaking.

Damn Peter Windsor

It is a real shame.

I was going to sell my Montreal F-1 autograph from Peter Windsor on e-Bay after their first race. Not now.

I wonder if the Montreal F-1 program autographs by Montoya and his dad will bring any money on e-Bay?

Should I post them now that Montoya's driving w/the redneck crowd?

Maybe someone will trade it for a six-pack and some chips?

Any autograph hounds out there? Interesting trades in mind?

I think JPM found his venue. Never much cared for his more recless than pro approach, although, we did see him race at Infineon last year and truly enjoyed---even cheered---for him. Unfortunately someone [geesch , NASCAR of course] bumped him on final two or so laps.

Obama already created 3 jobs with the Stimulus Package...one in Virginia, one in New Jersey, and one in Massachusetts

USF1 is dead, and stopped posting on their website on January 25th of this year, right after signing their driver and "perhaps" getting $8M. Bernie predicted this last year.

Also, Spain's Team Campos has no car as yet, and only one driver. The team has now been taken over by Colin Kolles (ex Force India), and Campos is supposedly out.
