Happy Belated Birthday Bryan!

Thanks for the invite to come over to FL. I saw your Dad on Saturday and he also mentioned this site to me. I had joined this site back in 2006 but didn't see much activity over here so I headed to another forum.

Nice to see some familiar faces

Bill

I was thinking

I was thinking that this thread is useless without pictures, baby pictures that is! Dear Admiral, can you dig up any pictures to share with the group?

That brings to mind an interesting idea for a thread. How 'bout we send pre teen pictures to one user (wetpet or someone of equal integrity) and have them posted generically so we can guess whom the individual is? Just a thought.

regards

ken

Hi Al, That is one qualification, but the rest of the list is pretty tough.

By the way, you did not have a new red paint job recently, did you? This photo is from Road America this past August, and I was slightly suspicious about the 360 filling my rear view mirror. The size comparison was also startling. Part of the fun was, as you can see, the track was quite wet. The healthy motor, skinny tires, old cold brakes and wet track made for great fun.

Best regards,

Robert

Yes sir, that was me and I'm sticking to that story.

That was a GREAT shot of you and your Mondial.

The juxtaposition of a "real" Ferrari and a modern day, clone-wannabe 360 race car is an interesting contrast.

I should have been buying the pre 70's F-cars when I graduated from college and spending nearly all my income just to make car payments...

But who, in the right mind, would do that?

Okay, good story. But, I'm thinking the red car in the picture might be a 430 (check out the scoops on the front bumper and the larger air scoop on the side toward the rear).

As far as buying classic Ferraris years ago, I totally agree. Remember just 5 years ago when Daytonas were $125k and Boxers were near the same?

Ron, Barry agrees with you, so I stand corrected that it was a 430. I do know that it really filled the rear view mirror.

Regarding buying classic cars many years ago not being in the right mind, forty nine and a half years ago my parents told me in no uncertain terms that I had taken leave of my senses when I bought that pile of junk...

Best regards,

Robert
