Rip

Sorry to hear about your loss. Fourteen years of true friendship is all you can ask for. Need to train the other dog to get your beer, too!

current Ferraris: 1995 F355 Spider, 2000 360F1 Modena

RIP Leda.

All my neighbours' dogs are like if they were mine too. I'll give them all an extra hug and a chat tomorrow. My thoughts go to Leda's family and friends.

Salve,

Jim, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. My eyes are starting to welt up seeing this thread. Lisa and I lost our 1 yr old Jack Russell "Enzo" after surgery this past July 4th weekend. Dogs are family. Even with time they never leave our thoughts. RIP Leda

Perhaps we should rename this thread "Gone but not forgotten".

Thanks il Capolino and DetailGuy. Sorry to hear about your loss too Chris. I lost Leda last thanksgiving. In the flavor of lost best animal friends Kevin posted that he just lost his shelty Cal over the weekend in this thread. Sympathies should go to him.

Current: 85' GTS QV
It's a simple process...... it's just complicated by human beings....

OMG, I didn't look at the posting dates.

Kevin, Lisa and I send our condolences. I hope the good memories of Cal will help through this time of loss.

I had the privilege of meeting Cal right after Rockville a couple of weekends ago; beautiful dog w/ character, but it was obvious he was not a happy camper. These are tough, tough calls, but I absolutely believe you did the right thing for Cal. Sorry for your loss, Kevin.

Sorry to hear the news, I feel your pain.

I lost Jack in June around my birthday. Luckily, my new neighbors have a Jack Russell (Buddy) who looks and acts like my own dog, Jack.

Buddy is my therapy dog. The neighbors are so cool they let him visit every evening and sleepover almost every weekend. It's made it much easier after losing Jack.

Not to diminish your loss, but my brother had taken to fostering dogs after his died. He now owns four Golden Retrievers he had fostered. If I didn't have access to Jack, I'd probably foster parent dogs from the SPCA.

I still have another dog so I'm fortunate there. Danny is 3 yrs old and is goofy and a lot of fun. I'm sure I'll get another but I might wait a while. Thanks for all the nice thoughts from everyone.
