Cavallino

got my flight ($157 RT) and my room ($55/night). Cheapest, best show all year. Who else is going? Couple of pics from the last one to temp you. That last one is me trying to run off with the Admiral's spare tire cover while he has his back turned. The engine is the black TR that sold this year at rm maranello.

I would have left the cover and taken the car, but that's just the difference between you and me.

Juicy pics, more more!

I take what i think i can get. they were actually judging the car at the time. Those guys with the admiral are judges.

Hey guys, what Ed isn't showing you is the signature on the other side of the spare tire cover by Sergio Scaglietti who built this body. That makes this piece of sculpture a "signed original".

After the stunning results of the five shows this years (and the bank account hit to make the shows) we are going to take it easier this year and do not plan to make the Cavallino trip, although the weather and the car scenery sure do exert the urge to attend.

Best regards,

Robert

Ed and I will be happy to take the car and show it for you. Just send us the keys. Let us know so we can make appropriate plans. Your car is one of my top ten favorites in the world. BRAVO ZULU

Hi guys,

Regarding the 4th photo in post #1, Ed was performing duties as a member of Team Mondial during the actual judging process at Cavallino last year. Upon further review it appears that the white dress might have caught his eye...

By the way when this site first stood up, there was a section under Ferrari Owners entitled "Vintage" which now is entitled 212, 250, 275. There have been a couple of threads there regarding the little blue car.

Best regards,

Robert

Ah yes, fond memories, sorry but will not be there this year. However it is fun to look back and see Bill Proctor's shot of some of my vanquished competition, WetPet's progeny in the little blue car, a nice scene at Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago and some Cavallino bling.

Best regards, and Merry Christmas to all,

Robert

Thanks for posting the pic of my son. i meant to contact you to see if it was alright. Best pic of him in a ferrari. When that car is tucked away in a collection in Switzerland many, many years from now, he will have a fond memory when he is my age. Thanks!

by the way, he will be with me again this year. if anyone will be there and wants to give up the driver's seat, he is very experienced at mugging for the camera!

My schedule has opened up in Jan., and I'm thinking about going Fri-Sun, Palm Beach sounds very enticing right now with the 18 deg/wind advisory/snow forecast.
