Yes, it’s baaaaaack, again! For our third year: Cavallinos in Coeur d’Alene Weekend, bigger and better than ever for 2015! Join us in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Friday, July 24th through Sunday July 26th for a three-day, celebration of all things Ferrari, sponsored by the Northwest Region of the Ferrari Club of America and our local host, Precision Pointe. Not a member of the FCA? No matter! Just come along anyway. Ferrari owners from anywhere are encouraged to participate.
Here’s the rundown of events:
Friday afternoon, July 24th – FERRARI WASH/DETAILING SESSION. Ferraris travelling to Coeur d’Alene from outlying areas arrive during the afternoon and treat themselves to a car wash/detailing session at Precision Pointe. After the detailing session drivers proceed to their hotel to check-in. Many of our guests stay at the Coeur d’Alene Resort or the Coeur d’Alene Inn. See registration information below.
Friday evening, July 24th – CAVALLINOS BANQUET. Held at the 5-Star Beverly’s Restaurant atop the Coeur d’Alene Resort tower, guests enjoy a catered meal, talk of Ferrari greatness, and are entertained with an overview of the weekend’s events. Memento of the event? Of course! Each dinner attendee receives the famed Cavallinos in Coeur d’Alene Memento, designed exclusively for 2015.
Saturday morning, July 25th – FERRARIS IN THE PARK and the TARGA COEUR D’ALENE. Ferraris from all over the west converge on the shaded lawns of Coeur d’Alene City Park for a three-hour Ferrari show. This event, well published to local car aficionados, is attended by more than a thousand fans. People’s choice awards are presented to Ferrari owners across several categories. “I heard there were a few ‘Friends of Ferrari’ there in 2014?” Why yes. We had a few guests which added a little Lamborghini, Maserati, and McLaren flavor to our gathering. We suspect we’ll have a few “Friends of Ferrari” with us this year, too! Is FERRARIS IN THE PARK just a car show? No, no! There’s much more! At noon drivers change their loafers for driving shoes and are led out of the park by police escort to begin the TARGA COEUR D’ALENE, a 100-mile, curvaceous and spirited lap around beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. Stopping for lunch and ice cream along the way, our Saturday events end with the return of the Ferraris to Coeur d’Alene. The rest of the afternoon will be yours to enjoy local fare.
Sunday morning, July 26th – ALL EUROPEAN SPORTS SUNDAY. You’ll help represent the famed Italian marque on the field of the new McEuen Park for a three-hour car show celebrating European cars and benefiting our local charity, Children’s Village. You’ll be joined by local German, British and Italian car clubs and guests, all enjoying the fresh breezes off Lake Coeur d’Alene and the delight of the thousands of visitors who will attend our All European Car show in Coeur d’Alene. You’ll have a second opportunity to bring home the gold with a second round or People’s Choice awards, the last award presented by Coeur d’Alene’s mayor. Just before noon we’ll make a substantial donation to Children’s Village and then all drivers will be led by police escort on a short parade tour of the City, ending in the restaurant district.
