Winter storage?

Hello!

So with fall fast approaching, I am looking to keep my Ferrari out of my apartment parking garage for the winter as I do not trust it being moved around for "convenience" while it is not being used, by the parking attendants. Does anyone know a facility that allows cars to be stored? I am thinking one of those "Storage Wars" type facilities but I am not sure they cater to cars, much less be a safe/climate-controlled facility where rodents won't chew up my wiring or leather upholstery to keep warm until spring.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If you were lucky and knew of an airport, you might be able to rent some space there.

I know of a place in Owings Mills, MD. But that's too far from you.

I believe Universal Autosports in Glen Cove, NY (www.universalautosports.com) offers storage facilities. I think I've received email blasts from them in the past about this.

P.S. Kevin, what's the place in VA? Can you PM me their contact info?

Been a while - just wanted to follow up on this.
I ended up checking out in Sept - Deluxe Car Storage in New Hyde Park, NY.

I fell in love with this place: its brand new, very clean and aside from the check-in process, my car is never moved unless its going for its monthly cleaning or seasonal detail service which is done on the premises.

The manager also offered to arrange my car for service at Ferrari Long Island for the other issue I had with the paddles by flatbed - additional cost but one less thing for me to worry about!

I can't be happier, my car will hibernate here for the winter and I'll see her again in springtime - cleaned/battery maintained and freshly serviced!

Check it out if you're looking for offsite storage thats different from the norm.

Another idea

Storage at FoLI. I am sure they do it and arrange for it for their clients. In STL that is possible at some dealerships ( no Ferrari here) but we have a facility aimed at car storage as well. I just use the hospital parking garage up top by the warm air and a car cover for my non- F cars when needed.

I hadn't considered subletting a spot at a local FBO airport.
That's a great idea if someone has excess hangar space available

I know nothing about where you are but around here hangar space is worth far more than car storage space.
